Produced by Abú Media, 1916 Seachtar Na Cásca profiles the lives of the seven signatories of Irish Proclamation of Independence. The 7 hour series takes viewers through the lives of the signatories and the events leading up the Easter Rising. Reenactments, footage from the period and interviews are combined in a quality documentary series that entertains as it educates.
I personally think they did a really great job on this. It shows the leaders as common men doing uncommon things. While they all paid the ultimate sacrifice each had their own human challenges.
